India is a land of dharma. Also, in the name of dharma, many adharmic people take advantage of the innocent faith of people and want to assert their superiority. But how many could withstand the test of time? So many great kings came and went, but now what remains is just a list of names.
Similarly, there are some people who claim themselves as God. Sometimes, they are called as ‘gods’ by their ‘innocent’ followers and the ‘gods’ don’t wish to disturb the ‘innocent’ minds of their followers.
The following questions should be asked to ourselves, the followers of those ‘gods’ and the ‘gods’ themselves if they are still alive!!
1] Of the many things, there are two peculiar things about God. One, His appearance is mentioned in the scriptures, and second, He performs extra-ordinary activities.
If someone claims to be God, we must ask – Which scripture mentions the auspicious appearance of this ‘god’? What extra-ordinary activities has he performed?
2] All incarnations that come in this material world are emanations from Ksirodakasayi Vishnu, whose residence is in the milk ocean. If someone claims to be God, the next question to be asked is – From which Vishnu has he originated? Even if ‘god’ is asked this question, he may get confused!!!
3] During the Samudra Manthan Lila, Lord appeared in the ‘kurma’ avatar to bear the strength of the Meru paravata that was being churned. And he was feeling as if he is being massaged. We can ask the local ‘god’ to lie down, and a small weight of 100 kgs is put on top of him, and while churning if he feels relaxed and gets sleep, then we can definitely accept him as God!
4] God is in everyone’s heart. And God knows what is going on in everyone’s mind. If he can know that, he is God. If he is aware of the existence of all bodies, he is God.
5] He should be asked to control his bowel movements when he has got a pressing call. God, being the controller of everything, if cannot even control his bowel movements, what kind of God is he?
6] He should NOT be OLD, and NOT get OLD also!!! Krishna is described as – nava yauvanam! If ‘god’ is aging, ‘god’ will die also!!
7] He must be asked to lift just a weight of 50 kgs on his left index finger for a period of 7 minutes. After all, Krishna lifted Govardhana for a time span of 7 days and 7 nights!
8] He should be asked to show his dirty feet as opposed to the lotus feet of the Lord. If there are symbols of conch, flag, elephant etc. on his feet, then we will definitely accept them as LOTUS feet, and earnestly beg him for excusing us for all offenses!!!
9] Krishna was simultaneously satisfying all 16108 wives in Dvaraka. To this ‘god’, we can first ask if he can marry even 160 wives, and then, can he be there with them simultaneously? And can he satisfy everyone equally??
10] Krishna showed His universal form to Arjuna, and after that, four-handed and two-handed form as well. If someone says, I am God, he should as well be able to showcase vishwarupa darshan!
11] God is the proprietor of all the land. If some ‘god’ is dependent on his disciples or others for some land, what kind of God is he?
These are only some of the many things we can ask. If the answer for any of them is yes, then we can definitely accept such a person as God. Otherwise, we must take our boots and simply kick that pretender for he is the biggest cheat and pretender, and is falsely taking advantage of the innocent faith of people and misdirecting them in masses.
