The journey of our spiritual life may not always be a smooth ride. Srimad Bhagavatam gives a detailed description of spiritual personalities, both in their struggle as well as in their perfection phase. Where are we in our spiritual journey as of now? Which character do we represent?
Our stay in this material world results in the formation of different kinds of knots. What should be done with these knots? Which all swords do we need to cut these knots? How to sharpen these swords?
To err is human. Are mistakes good or bad? Can mistakes be transformed into something highly positive in our life?
According to the modes in which we are situated, Krishna reveals Himself to that extent in our lives. Only in the state of śuddha-sattva, or pure goodness, can He be fully revealed. In all other modes, at best, one gains only a partial understanding of Him.
Demons take up various disguises to bewilder living entities and execute their nefarious plans. Devotees may also diguise themselves, sometimes for good reasons, and at other times, for not so good reasons. How can we give up our fake disguises?
Our goal is to come closer to Krishna. Can it happen without coming closer to devotees? Whose darshan, service and association is more accessible and worthier to us at this stage – Krishna or devotees?
Our hearts should melt like butter while chanting the Holy Names, and after coming in contact with Krishna. And our hearts should be unmoved like the stone in front of the many temptations that maya offers. Does it really happen that way?
